Ice Cream Shop Fire
A few weeks ago Strong Fire responded to the Ice Cream shop on Route 4 in Avon for a reported basement fire. Upon units arriving on scene it was discovered that is was a furnice malfunction and all other responding units were cancelled. Phillips was on scene along with NorthStar Farmington with them being relieved by Command at the scene. Strong firefighters went in side with our MSA mult-gas detector and found CO2 readings as high as 137PPM in some spots. PPV fans were placed at the bottom of the stairs and helped to blow the CO2 out of the house. Strong units spent about an hour and a half on scene before clearing.
