Update of MORE Strong calls

Alot of things have been happening in Strong over the past few months. Trees on lines, car accidents, and other things. Strong Fire took delivery of Engine 5 a 1997 quick attack pumper build on a chevy 3500 chassie. There have been training burns, and new members. Stay tuned for the complete list of updates.

Update of calls

So here is the update of the Strong calls. Multiple car accidents have occured, along with an ambulance assist, and a few other random calls. Stay tuned for a complete update.

Late Night 10-55

Last night around 0100hrs Strong Fire responded to a reported 10-55 with unknown PI. The patient was responded to have wandered off and was unknown where the occupant was. Engine One and Squad One responded along with NorthStar Farmington and Franklin County Sheriffs Depituties and State Police. The occupant was located at his house and checked out by NorthStar. The truck he was driving went off the road and struck a telephone pole, severly breaking the pole.

Ice Cream Shop Fire

A few weeks ago Strong Fire responded to the Ice Cream shop on Route 4 in Avon for a reported basement fire. Upon units arriving on scene it was discovered that is was a furnice malfunction and all other responding units were cancelled. Phillips was on scene along with NorthStar Farmington with them being relieved by Command at the scene. Strong firefighters went in side with our MSA mult-gas detector and found CO2 readings as high as 137PPM in some spots. PPV fans were placed at the bottom of the stairs and helped to blow the CO2 out of the house. Strong units spent about an hour and a half on scene before clearing.

Strong Responds to Back to Back Structure Fires

On Friday the 25th Strong Fire responded to back to back structure fires in New Vineyard. One on 234 and one on Church Street. Strong Fire responded to the one on 234 with E-One and Squad One, and on Church Street with E-One and E-Three. The fire on Church Street was a fully involved barn and the one on 234 was a walkway that attached the barn and house. Both fires were handeled by Strong and New Vineyard.
